Francis Coppola Diamond Collection Blue Label Merlot 2004, is a big, scrumptious fruity wine with a subtle smokiness and hints of leather—think fifties supper club with over-sized booths, hearty food and lots of ambience. Balanced and bold, our Blue Label Merlot is an ideal partner for roasted lamb, polenta topped with meaty tomato sauce or pulled pork sandwiches.

"We source our Merlot fruit from vineyards as far south as Monterey and as far north as Napa and Sonoma. Our Monterey grapes are grown in Los Lobos vineyard, a site selected for the mountain range that protects it from the climatic influence of the Pacific Ocean and for its gravely sandy loam soil that provides ideal drainage to create grapes with concentrated flavors. From our northern vineyards, we harvest grapes with intense flavors due to the volcanic soils that produce low-vigor vines.
